Eli O. Meltzer, M.D.

For over 40 years, Dr. Meltzer has been co-director of Allergy & Asthma Medical Group and Research Center in San Diego. During this time he has participated in over 650 research studies focused on various aspects of respiratory disease and has been a consultant to numerous pharmaceutical and biotechnical companies. He has lectured throughout the world on topics including asthma, rhinitis, sinusitis and immunotherapy and authored more than 600 scientific publications.

Michael J. Welch, M.D.

Dr. Welch has held leadership positions and memberships in numerous national, state and local professional organizations and associations in the field of asthma, allergy and immunology. He is recent past-Chair of the Executive Committee of the Section on Allergy and Immunology of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has a strong interest in asthma camps for children, nationally and locally, and recently held the position of Chair of the National Consortium on Children’s Asthma Camps.
Nancy K. Ostrom, M.D.

Dr. Ostrom received her medical degree from Mayo Medical School, Rochester, Minnesota. She then completed internship and residency in Pediatrics and fulfilled a fellowship in allergy and immunology at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine where she received the Mayo Foundation Pediatric Award for Academic Achievement. She has published and lectured in the areas of allergic rhinitis, asthma, and exercise-induced asthma.
Alexander N. Greiner, M.D.

Dr. Greiner, a board-certified specialist in Allergy and Immunology, is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine, at the University of California, San Diego. He has been in private practice with Allergy & Asthma Medical Group & Research Center since 2003. During this time he has participated in multiple research studies focusing on various aspects of allergic diseases, including asthma, rhinitis and sinusitis.
Susan S. Laubach, M.D. 

Susan S. Laubach, MD joined Allergy & Asthma Medical Group and Research Center in July 2011. Originally from Stockton, California, Dr. Laubach majored in Human Biology with honors from Stanford University before undergoing her medical training at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine. She trained in pediatrics at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, NY where she founded a Palliative Care service for children with life-threatening illnesses.

Barbara S. Goergen, N.P. 

Barbara Goergen is a native Minnesotan, who received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the College of St. Teresa in Minnesota, her Master of Science from Texas Women’s University in Houston and completed the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Texas in San Antonio. She has also received her Nurse Practitioner certification in pediatrics.
